An English-language television programme launched on the Costa del Sol is expanding across Spain as it seeks to cater to the country’s booming international population.
Good Morning Spain, produced and presented by British journalist Nicole King, is extending its TV footprint from Andalucia into Murcia and Madrid, while also adding a new broadcasting partner in Almeria.
The weekly one-hour programme began broadcasting in September 2023 and combines practical information about living in Spain with news and features covering property, healthcare, legal matters, travel, food, culture and everyday Spanish life.
It is produced and recorded weekly from studios at the Hard Rock Hotel Marbella and has until now been best known for its Monday morning broadcasts through 7TV Andalucia.
King said the expansion comes at the perfect time given the continued growth of Spain’s foreign population.
‘The international population in Spain is growing so much that it makes for the perfect moment to expand our Good Morning Spain broadcasting network,’ she said.
‘It’s with great pride that we can now call some of the most recognised and established independent TV channels in the country partners.’
From Marbella to Madrid
The programme’s biggest expansion will see it arrive in the Spanish capital this month.

From Monday, September 7, Good Morning Spain will air on Canal 33 Madrid at 10am, with repeats throughout the week.
‘For me, Madrid is a particularly exciting step,’ King said.
‘Taking Good Morning Spain into the Spanish capital feels like a real milestone for a programme that began here on the Costa del Sol.’
Madrid’s international population provides an obvious potential audience.
More than one million people living in the capital were born outside Spain, while 3.34 million of the 5.6 million visitors recorded during the first half of 2026 were international.
Meanwhile, Good Morning Spain’s coverage in Andalucia is being strengthened through Almeria TV.
Almeria province has around 789,000 residents, including approximately 190,000 foreign nationals – equivalent to almost one in four of the population.
The programme has also moved beyond Andalucia through Canal 1 Mar Menor-Torre Pacheco in Murcia, another region with a substantial international community.
Its original broadcasts through 7TV Andalucia will continue, giving the Marbella-produced programme a growing network of independent regional and local television partners across the country.

Helping expats integrate
King says the idea is not simply to provide English-language entertainment, but to help foreign residents understand their adopted country and integrate into Spanish life.
Spain had around 9.46 million foreign-born residents at the beginning of 2025, according to figures supplied by the programme, with almost a quarter having arrived during the previous two years.
‘There is a constantly renewing international population trying to understand how Spain works, from legal matters, property and healthcare to culture, food, destinations and everyday life,’ King said.
Good Morning Spain’s motto is ‘Helping people connect with Spain’, although its audience is not exclusively foreign.
The programme says it also attracts Spanish viewers who use the English-language format to practise the language and see their own country from an international perspective.
King said talks are already underway with broadcasters in other parts of Spain about joining the growing network.
