Costco is aiming to open its first Malaga warehouse in April 2027, while its petrol station is scheduled to begin operating this October.
The American membership-based retailer is preparing its sixth Spanish store at Malaga Nostrum retail park, selling everything from groceries and clothing to electronics and household goods.
Its petrol station, located alongside businesses including Action and MGI, will operate daily from 7am to 10.30pm, according to the company’s Malaga launch information.
Ahead of the warehouse opening, Costco has set up a temporary membership office at Malaga Factory shopping centre, open Monday to Saturday from 10am to 10pm.
Customers can also join through its website or app by selecting Malaga as their preferred store.

Those signing up before the opening will receive a €10 voucher to spend at any Costco warehouse in Spain, valid until 30 days after the Malaga branch opens.
Early members can immediately use their cards at the chain’s existing Spanish warehouses and petrol stations in Sevilla, Zaragoza, Las Rozas, Getafe and Sestao. Their membership renewal date will be extended until spring 2028.
An individual Gold Star membership costs €36.30 a year, including IVA, while Business membership costs €30.25 annually, including IVA. Both come with a free additional card.
The chain operates as a warehouse shopping club, requiring customers to hold a membership to shop.
Its range includes fresh food, wine, beer and spirits, large and small appliances, office equipment, DIY supplies, cleaning products and homeware.
