You agree to use our website lawfully and without interfering with its operation, attempting unauthorised access or bypassing subscription restrictions.

You must provide accurate account and payment information and keep your login details secure. Unless otherwise agreed, subscriptions are for individual, personal use and may not be shared or resold.

Subscriptions and payment

We offer the subscription plans displayed on our website. The price, billing frequency, included benefits and any introductory offer will be explained before you complete your purchase.

Prices payable by consumers include applicable taxes. Payments are collected through our payment provider using your selected payment method.

Automatic renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew for successive periods matching your chosen plan unless you cancel in accordance with section 5. Monthly subscriptions renew monthly; annual subscriptions renew annually.

By purchasing a recurring subscription, you authorise recurring payments using your selected payment method.

The renewal price will be the price agreed at checkout, unless a subsequent change has been properly notified and agreed where required by law.

For introductory or discounted offers, checkout will specify how long the offer lasts and the price payable afterwards. An introductory discount does not continue beyond its stated period unless expressly agreed.

Cancelling your subscription

To prevent the next automatic renewal, your cancellation request must reach us more than 24 hours before the scheduled renewal date and time, subject to applicable consumer law.

You can cancel by emailing news@thespanisheye.com from your registered email address, or through the cancellation facility in your account where available. The time your request reaches us determines whether you met the deadline; you do not need to wait for our acknowledgement.

We will confirm cancellation by email. Cancellation stops future renewals, and your access continues until the end of the period already paid for.

A request received after the deadline will ordinarily take effect at the end of the next subscription period, subject to your statutory rights.

Unsubscribing from newsletters or ceasing to use the website does not cancel a paid subscription.

Refunds and statutory rights

Subject to applicable law, subscription payments are non-refundable once the relevant subscription period has started. We do not ordinarily provide partial refunds for unused access or cancellation during a paid period.

This policy does not affect any statutory right to withdraw, receive a refund or obtain a remedy for an incorrect charge or a failure to supply the agreed service.

Consumers generally have a 14-day withdrawal right when purchasing online, subject to statutory exceptions. Where a digital-content exception applies, loss of that right requires the necessary express consent, acknowledgement and contractual confirmation. Acceptance of these terms alone does not remove your withdrawal rights.

Prices and changes to these terms

We will notify subscribers in advance of proposed changes affecting their subscription price or other material contractual terms, giving them a reasonable opportunity to cancel before those changes take effect.

Changes will not retrospectively alter an already paid subscription period or remove accrued rights.

Any preferential renewal rate applies only for the period and on the conditions expressly offered. If your subscription ends, a future subscription may be charged at the prices then available.

Our articles, photographs, videos, branding and other material are protected by intellectual property laws and belong to The Spanish Eye or the relevant rights holders.

You may share links to our articles. Reproducing or commercially distributing our content requires permission, except where permitted by law.

Editorial content and external links

We take reasonable care to publish accurate information and correct material errors brought to our attention. News and other information may change after publication.

Our content provides general information and should not replace individual legal, financial, medical or other professional advice.

Links to external websites are provided for convenience. We do not control their content or services. Paid advertising and sponsored content will be identified.

Reader contributions

You must have the necessary rights to submit photographs, videos or other material to us.

Unless separately agreed, submitting material for publication grants us non-exclusive permission to edit and publish it in The Spanish Eye and its associated channels. You retain ownership of your material.

Availability and liability

We aim to maintain reliable access, but maintenance or technical problems may occasionally interrupt the service.

We will address service problems within a reasonable time and provide any remedies required by law. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits mandatory consumer protections.
