A new campaign aimed at raising awareness about domestic abuse and gender violence has been launched on the Costa del Sol following the horrific killing of a British mother-of-three earlier this year.
The Hart Project, created by the charity Asociacion Hadas Caradas, was officially unveiled this week as an initiative focused on supporting victims and survivors while encouraging greater public discussion around abuse.
The project was established in memory of Victoria Hart, who lost her life in January 2026 when her ex partner allegedly stormed into her property in Alhaurin el Grande and stabbed her to death while her three children were home.
According to the association, the campaign seeks to highlight the reality of abuse that often remains hidden behind closed doors and encourage victims to seek help.
The initiative will focus on education, public awareness campaigns, survivor advocacy and community partnerships designed to promote prevention and safety.
Organisers said the project also aims to reduce the stigma surrounding domestic abuse and improve access to support networks and resources for those affected.
‘Silence protects abuse. Awareness creates change,’ the association said in a statement announcing the launch.
As part of the campaign, The Hart Project plans to organise educational outreach programmes, community events and collaborations with organisations working to combat gender violence.
The charity is also calling on local institutions, businesses and community leaders across the Costa del Sol to help create safer environments where victims feel supported and protected.

Asociacion Hadas Caradas said the initiative is rooted in the belief that lasting change begins with ‘education, empathy and collective responsibility’.
The organisation added that it hopes the campaign will inspire more open conversations around abuse and ultimately help prevent future violence.
The charity confirmed that a dedicated volunteer, Vicki, is available to provide guidance and support to anyone experiencing domestic abuse or concerned about somebody they know.
She can be contacted on 623 630 373.
