A man has been arrested in Sevilla after allegedly stabbing another man in the chest after he refused to have sex with him.

The attack took place in the Charco de la Pava area of the Andalucian capital in the early hours of June 5.

The victim suffered a deep wound to his chest in the area of his heart.

A member of the public flagged down a passing police patrol and told them that a man had been stabbed.

According to police, the injury was so severe that it required almost 30 stitches.

Despite the seriousness of the attack, the man survived after receiving medical treatment.

Thanks to the victims’ descriptions, police were able to track down the suspect and arrest him.

He was brought before a court on suspicion of attempted murder.

The Charco de la Pava area has a well-known spot for gay cruising.

There is no suggestion that the victims were looking to engage in sexual activity when they were harrassed and attacked.
