A wildfire that broke out in Nerja on Tuesday evening has been stabilised.
At least eight aircraft and dozens of firefighters had been roped in to help battle the flames.
The blaze was declared at around 7.30pm in the Arroyo de la Miel area of the town, according to Andalucia’s forest fire service Infoca.
A total of seven helicopters were fighting the wildfire from the air, including two light helicopters, three medium-weight aircraft and two heavy helicopters.
In an update on Wednesday morning, Infoca said the inferno had been stabilised and that crews were now working towards its extinction.
The cause of the fire has not yet been confirmed.
