This is the moment Andalucia’s biggest football stars met their regional president Juanma Moreno just hours after winning the World Cup.
It comes after the Partido Popular leader shared a series of behind-the-scenes images from La Roja’s celebrations in Madrid.
The newly-reelected president congratulated the newly crowned world champions and highlighted the Andalucian players who helped deliver Spain’s second World Cup title.
Among those pictured were Alex Baena, from Roquetas de Mar (Almeria), Fabian Ruiz, from Los Palacios y Villafranca (Sevilla), and Gavi, the Barcelona midfielder from Los Palacios y Villafranca.
One image shows Moreno posing with Fabian Ruiz as the midfielder proudly holds the World Cup trophy draped in a Spanish flag, while another captures him alongside Baena and Gavi wearing their ‘Somos Campeones 2026’ celebration shirts.
The Junta president also embraced Spain head coach Luis de la Fuente, praising the man who guided La Roja to World Cup glory.

‘Proud to be Andalucians and Spaniards,’ Moreno wrote on Instagram.
‘Long live Los Palacios y Villafranca! Long live Roquetas de Mar! Long live Andalucia!
‘Spain are world champions. Happy day to everyone.’
In a second post, he described Spain as ‘a legendary team led by Luis de la Fuente, a magnificent coach and a great person’.
He added: ‘Thank you for your example and for the values you have shown. Congratulations to the entire Spain team.’
