Norway fans have been filmed celebrating wildly on the Costa del Sol after their national team stunned Brazil at the World Cup.
Footage shared by Fuengirola Se Queja shows dozens of supporters packed outside the Old Town pub in Fuengirola following Norway’s dramatic 2-1 victory over the five-time world champions.
In the clip, fans dressed in red can be seen cheering, singing and waving their arms in the air as the celebrations spill out onto the terrace.
At one point, supporters form a line on the floor and begin rowing an imaginary boat in unison, drawing cheers from the packed crowd around them.
The video was captioned: ‘This is how the Norwegian fans in Fuengirola celebrated their passage to the quarter-finals after beating Brazil 1-2.’
Norway’s victory is one of the biggest shocks of the tournament so far and has sent them into the last eight, where they will face England.
Fuengirola is home to one of the largest Nordic communities in southern Spain, with Norwegian, Finnish, Swedish and Danish residents and holidaymakers regularly gathering in the town’s bars and restaurants.
The celebrations come as World Cup fever continues to grip the Costa del Sol, where thousands of foreign residents and tourists have been following their countries’ progress from local pubs and bars.
