A well-known YouTuber and amateur boxer has been arrested by Spanish police in Marbella after allegedly launching a violent glass attack that left another man with life-threatening injuries.
The incident, which took place in late August at a nightclub in the popular Costa del Sol resort, resulted in the victim suffering a torn jugular artery after being struck in the neck with a glass.
He required emergency surgery to survive the assault.
Although the attack happened on August 26, the suspect – whose name has not been officially released by Spanish authorities – was only recently tracked down after police analysed his social media activity.
Investigators from Marbella’s Local Judicial Police Unit identified the man through content he had posted online, including videos of himself driving around the city.
It later emerged that the individual had no valid driving licence, prompting an additional charge for a suspected road safety offence.
Wanted in the UK
Further checks revealed that the suspect was already subject to an International Arrest Warrant issued by UK authorities in connection with a drug-related offence.
The extradition request had been active at the time of his arrest.
Police located the man hiding out in Marbella and detained him without incident. After processing, he was brought before a judge and formally charged in Spain with causing grievous bodily harm and driving without a licence.
This October, following legal procedures, he was extradited to the UK under the existing warrant.
