More than five kilos of ‘tusi’, commonly known as pink cocaine, have been seized at a Fuengirola home in what the Guardia Civil described as one of its most significant hauls of the drug.
A Spanish national was arrested during the operation, which forms part of a long-running investigation into the laundering of drug trafficking profits.
Officers from the Guardia Civil’s Almeria command and the Tax Agency’s customs surveillance service searched three properties and businesses in Fuengirola and Mijas in September.
At the suspect’s home, they found more than five kilos of tusi, half a kilo of cocaine and a kilo of hashish, alongside equipment used to prepare drugs for sale.
The suspect has been remanded in custody on suspicion of drug trafficking, money laundering and membership of a criminal organisation.
The searches form part of Operation Dolmen/Erytheia, which began in 2024 to investigate the alleged network’s structure, drug distribution links and movement of illicit profits.
An earlier phase of the operation in late 2025 involved around 30 searches across Malaga, Almeria, Granada and Alicante, resulting in approximately 30 arrests.
Investigators seized more than a tonne of hashish, 20 kilos of cocaine and numerous firearms during that phase.
The financial investigation also led to court-ordered freezes on properties valued at more than €6 million and almost 100 bank accounts.
Around 100 vehicles and boats, worth a combined €1 million, were also seized.
