The family of a German boy who died in a motorbike accident have launched an appeal for witnesses.
The unnamed 17-year-old was found dead next to his motorcycle in Los Monteros, Marbella on Monday night.
Daniela Friedal, a friend of the tragic teen’s family, published in an expat forum that they are looking for witnesses to figure out what happened.
She wrote: ‘Many of you have already heard about the terrible accident last Monday at around 11.40pm in Los Monteros.
‘On behalf of the parents, I’d like to ask if anyone has heard anything?! The son was riding a motorcycle toward Marbella, near the Costa del Sol Hospital on the street where the Santa Clara Golf Course is, Avenida Juan Carlos 1…
‘If anyone knows anything, please let us know.’
According to the 112 emergency hotline, a witness called in at around 11.40pm to report that an injured young man was laying on the road next to a motorcycle.
The coordination centre activated the Marbella Local Police, the Guardia Civil and the Health Emergency Centre (CES).
Paramedics were dispatched but were unable to save the victim’s life and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
