The body of a man has been found floating in the sea near a nudist hotspot in Alicante.
The discovery was made last Thursday in the waters off Cabo de la Huerta, but was only reported by the Policia Nacional on Monday.
Paramedics had been called around noon when a swimmer saw the corpse floating and alerted the emergency services.
Local police officers were first dispatched to the scene, followed shortly after by the more serious Policia Nacional.
The body was located between the coves of Cantalar and La Palmera, two popular spots for nudists.
Sources close to the investigation told local media that the identity of the deceased and his cause of death remain unknown.
An autopsy has yet to determine whether the death was accidental or not, although the body showed no signs of violence.
