Tributes have poured in for a young couple who died following a head-on collision on a ‘deadly road’ in southern Spain.
Ariadna, 16 and Fran, 19, both from Malaga province, were killed while traveling on the A-405 between Jimena and San Roque, in Cadiz.
The pair’s car collided with another vehicle carrying three people at around 10pm on Sunday.
Cadiz firefighters said Ariadna and Fran were already dead when they were pulled from their car.
The trio from the other vehicle were transferred to the La Linea Regional Hospital and are expected to recover.

Photos from the scene show how one vehicle had flipped over, while the other’s front was pictured completely destroyed.
The mayor of Castellar, Adrian Vaca, called for urgent upgrades to the road, which he branded dangerous.
He said he will coordinate actions with the mayors of Jimena and San Martín del Tesorillo to demand immediate intervention from the Junta de Andalucia.
The deaths of the youngsters have generated a wave of grief and solidarity in their hometowns of Ronda and Gaucin.
Gaucin town hall has offered its condolences to both families, acknowledging ‘the grief of the entire municipality’ in the face of an ‘irreparable’ loss.
