An appeal has been made through The Spanish Eye to help locate Carmen Chicharro following the Toledo rail disaster.
The missing mother is the director of innovation and marketing at property development company Metrovacesa.
A friend of her child contacted this newspaper asking for her photograph to be shared more widely in the hope of finding her.
The appeal states that Carmen was travelling in carriage seven of the Renfe AVE, listing seats 6A/6B.
She was reportedly travelling alongside colleague Silvia Diaz Juberias, who was injured and taken to hospital.
Carmen has extensive experience in banking and private business and also volunteered with the Food Bank.
