A woman has survived the Toledo train disaster just nine months after escaping the fatal collision in Adamuz.
The survivor, identified only as Carmen, emerged physically unharmed from both crashes but was left deeply distressed by Wednesday’s collision near Urda.
Her story was shared on Cuatro’s En Boca de Todos by Carmen Garcia, a member of the Red Cross response team.
Garcia said the passenger declined to appear on television because of her emotional state.
‘She has no physical injuries, but emotionally she is very affected,’ she said.
Carmen had previously survived the January 18 train disaster in Adamuz, Cordoba, which claimed 46 lives.

The death toll in Toledo currently stands at 74.
Garcia also described the distress inside the sports hall opened to support passengers after the Toledo collision.
Some survivors stared blankly ahead, while others were anxious about people who had been sitting beside them but whom they could not find among those receiving assistance.
Others expressed sadness and anger as emergency workers helped them process what had happened.
Garcia said passengers were responding in different ways to an exceptionally difficult experience, with some focused on the welfare of fellow travellers despite their own ordeal.
