This is the moment the Guardia Civil uncovered a cannabis farm hidden beneath an olive grove in Granada.
Almost 7,900 marijuana plants and 21 weapons were seized in operations between October 19 and 21, with 18 people arrested and another 22 placed under investigation.
The concealed growing facility was discovered on rural land in Cogollos de la Vega, accessed through a narrow passage leading underground.
Inside, officers found 490 cannabis plants alongside artificial lighting, ventilation, climate-control equipment and a water supply.
Above ground, branches concealed the climate-control units, while three surveillance cameras hidden among olive trees monitored the surrounding property.
The searches spanned 15 municipalities, including Atarfe, Guadix, Pinos Puente, Fuente Vaqueros, Chauchina, Albolote and Moraleda de Zafayona.
In Fuente Vaqueros, officers seized 1,976 plants during seven searches. Another 1,565 plants and 4.45kg of marijuana were recovered in Moraleda de Zafayona.
The weapons haul included two handguns, two shotguns, a rifle and 16 air-powered, gas-powered or blank-firing weapons.
Officers also seized three Taser-style devices and ammunition of various calibres.
Around €17,000 in cash, small quantities of cocaine and hashish, and cannabis-growing equipment were also recovered.
Those arrested or placed under investigation are suspected of offences involving drug trafficking, electricity fraud, illegal weapons possession and membership of a criminal group.
