Sierra Nevada has received its first snowfall of the autumn, leaving a white covering on the upper slopes as Storm Adam swept across Andalucia.
The white stuff began falling on Saturday around the highest peaks, initially above approximately 3,000 metres.
By Sunday, the snowline had dropped to around 2,700 metres, reaching Borreguiles and leaving the ski area with its first covering of the season.
The snow-covered mountains could be glimpsed from Granada city between the clouds.
The snowfall comes as Sierra Nevada prepares for its winter ski season, with its advance ski-pass sale having ended last week.
The early covering provides an autumn preview of the slopes, although it does not mean the resort is open for skiing.
