This is the moment a lorry was filmed engulfed in flames after catching fire in Fuengirola on Friday night.

Footage shared online shows firefighters racing to put out the inferno in Bulevar de la Loma.

They can be heard shouting at the people filming to get further back and away from the area.

According to local residents reacting to clips online, multiple explosions were heard at around 10pm.

Witnesses said the driver of the lorry ‘reacted quickly’ and moved the vehicle away from a nearby Repsol garage.

It is not yet known what caused the fire or if there are any injuries.

More details were expected to be released by the authorities on Saturday morning.
