A horror car crash in Mijas has left one dead and three injured, including a two-year-old child.
The collision involving two vehicles occurred shortly after 10pm on Thursday.
They collided head-on while passing on the A-7053, in the direction of Alhaurin el Grande.
Guardia Civil officers, firefighters and 061 emergency medical teams were dispatched to the scene.
Paramedics confirmed the death of a 54-year-old man.
Three other people were taken to the Hospital Costa del Sol, comprising a two-year-old child, a 65-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman.
Their conditions have not yet been reported.
The fatal collision comes amid a particularly deadly period on the roads of Malaga province.
Official figures published earlier this month showed 10 people were killed in traffic accidents across the province during July and August, twice the number recorded over the same two-month period last year.
It also comes just a day after two people were killed in another head-on collision in Alhaurin de la Torre, when a car and lorry crashed on the A-7052.
