Alleged Scottish crime boss Steven Lyons has finally been extradited to Spain to face money laundering charges.
The 46-year-old arrived in Madrid on Wednesday after being flown in from Amsterdam under police escort.
According to Spanish police sources cited by the Daily Record, the extradition was carried out without incident.
After landing in the Spanish capital, Lyons faced a duty judge before an expected transfer to Malaga in the coming weeks.
He is wanted on the Costa del Sol over money laundering and organised crime allegations
The Malaga court issued the European Arrest Warrant that led to his capture in the Netherlands in early April after he had been deported from Bali.
His extradition follows Operation Arborum, a major international investigation targeting the Lyons crime clan that saw coordinated raids in Scotland and the Costa del Sol at the end of March.
More than a dozen people were arrested during the operation, including seven suspects in Spain.

Among those detained was Rebecca Hayes, Steven Lyons’ sister-in-law, who is also under investigation by the Malaga court.
All of those arrested are being investigated on suspicion of money laundering and involvement in a criminal organisation.
The Lyons Gang is regarded as one of Scotland’s most powerful organised crime groups and has long been linked to serious organised crime, including violent feuds, drug trafficking and international money laundering operations.
Spanish investigators believe the Costa del Sol was being used as part of the group’s financial network, with the inquiry into its activities continuing.
