Chaos erupted in Marbella last night when police officers were filmed hitting revellers with their batons.
Footage shared on Instagram show around a dozen local police officers dealing with unrest in the resort of Puerto Banus.
In the short clip, one man can be seen laying face down on the floor as an agent holds his hands behind his back and kneels on him.
At one point, six officers are seen encircling and holding the man down, who does not appear to be resisting.
A woman is seen being helped up off the floor after being knocked down during the ruckus.
It is not yet clear what caused the clash between police and the revellers.
