Malaga is set to enjoy Indian summer conditions this weekend with highs of up to 27C forecast along the coast.
The pleasant turnaround after Storm Adam is thanks to warm wind that is set to blow down from inland areas.
Jesus Riesco, from state weather agency Aemet, told Malaga Hoy that the province is experiencing an autumn version of the terral, the warm, dry wind more commonly associated with summer heat.
Westerly airflows are helping push coastal temperatures slightly above the seasonal average, while other parts of Spain have experienced a sharper autumn chill.

Malaga city’s average October maximum is around 24C, meaning the forecast highs are just one or two degrees above normal.
The conditions, described by Riesco as a semiterral, are expected to persist until Sunday.
Inland areas will be cooler, however. Antequera is expected to reach around 23C before its maximum falls to 20C on Friday.
Overnight temperatures should remain close to seasonal averages, at approximately 16C on the coast and 10C inland.
While summer terral episodes can drive temperatures towards 40C, this autumn spell will bring much gentler warmth.
Riesco said no significant rainfall is expected until at least the middle of next week, offering the province a respite after the recent downpours associated with the DANA weather system Adam.
