This is moment a house in Spain crumbled after being hit by a rally car at speed.

The incident took place during the 41st Tenerife North Rally on Saturday.

The annual race took place despite the significant rainfall battering the island, in particular the north.

A clip shared on X shows the racing vehicle speeding down a wet road in the north of the Canary island.

It then appears to slide out of control before braking and spinning 180 degrees, hitting a house in the process.

The home, made of bricks, is then seen crumbling and is left partially in ruins.

The driver of the car was Yeray Lemes, although there were several other accidents, according to local media reports.

Fortunately, the property that was partially destroyed was abandoned, and no one was inside.

The Tenerife North Rally (Rallye Norte de Tenerife) is an annual motorsport event that forms part of the regional rally championship and features a series of timed stages on closed public roads.

It is known for its challenging routes that wind through mountainous terrains and coastal roads.
