A helicopter and forest firefighters were dispatched to Mijas on Saturday night following the declaration of a wildfire near to homes.
Andalucia’s INFOCA service confirmed the blaze near Mijas Golf shortly before 10pm on Saturday night.
Fortunately, the inferno was classed as ‘controlled’ before 11pm.
The initial response included one fire engine, one heavy helicopter and one specialist forest firefighter brigade.
Footage shared online showed a helicopter flying over the affected area to drop water on the inferno.
In the clips, properties and even a moped could be seen close to the burning vegetation.
The incident comes as much of Andalucia remains on high alert due to soaring temperatures, dry vegetation and an increased risk of wildfires.
