A shocking video showing suspected drug traffickers dancing aboard a fuel-smuggling boat off the coast of southern Spain has resurfaced online following the recent deaths of two Guardia Civil officers in Huelva.
The clip has gone viral on X this week, with many users wrongly claiming it was filmed in the aftermath of the tragedy involving the officers.
However, the footage was actually first reported in January 2025.
The video shows two masked ‘petaqueros’ – the name given to fuel runners who supply narco boats at sea – dancing provocatively on board a vessel loaded with dozens of petrol canisters.
The men, whose faces are completely covered, can be seen ‘perreando’ to the song Mientes tan bien by artist Piromano while another individual films them on a mobile phone.
The scene has sparked outrage online once again due to the increasingly brazen image projected by drug trafficking networks operating around Andalucia’s coastline.
Authorities have repeatedly warned that these refuelling vessels are effectively floating bombs due to the huge quantities of petrol carried on board.
Lyrics heard during the video include: ‘Most pretty girls die for the bad boys, and I’m bad too…’
The footage echoes the growing culture of narco glorification seen in parts of southern Spain in recent years, where traffickers have increasingly flaunted luxury lifestyles and criminal activity on social media.
One of the most notorious examples involved alleged drug kingpin Isco Tejon, whose appearance in a music video is widely believed to have contributed to his eventual downfall and arrest.
The resurfacing of the clip comes at a particularly sensitive moment after the deaths of two Guardia Civil officers in Huelva.
