An urgent appeal has been launched to find an 11-year-old girl who has been missing in Ceuta since July 30.

Omnia disappeared on the same day that tens of thousands of people crossed into the Spanish enclave from neighbouring Morocco.

Missing persons organisation SOS Desaparecidos has issued an appeal seeking information about her whereabouts.

According to the alert, Omnia is 11 years old, of slim build and has short black hair.

She was last known to be wearing a blue and black swimsuit and red shorts.

The organisation also states that she does not speak Spanish.

Her disappearance dates to July 30, when Ceuta was plunged into chaos by the beginning of an unprecedented influx across its border with Morocco.

Authorities and charities have since been dealing with large numbers of children and other vulnerable people who arrived in the Spanish territory.

However, the circumstances surrounding Omnia’s disappearance have not been detailed in the public appeal.
