This is the moment a convicted jihadist was arrested once again after allegedly reoffending in Barcelona.
The man was previously convicted of glorifying terrorism and spreading jihadist indoctrination online.
He has been sent back to prison after police accused him of resuming the same activity on social media.
Policia Nacional officers arrested the suspected Islamic State sympathiser at his Barcelona home on Tuesday, November 3.
Spain’s National Court ordered him into custody, police said on Saturday.
Investigators say the man ran several accounts across different platforms, where he shared extremist material and kept in regular contact with users who openly posted jihadist messages.
He was first arrested in 2018 and later convicted by the National Court.
He was released under supervision in 2021 and ordered to remain electronically contactable, report to police every fortnight and stay away from online spaces linked to jihadist radicalisation.
Police say they found he had breached those restrictions and that intelligence officers investigating the breach uncovered activity similar to that which led to his original conviction.
Officers seized several electronic devices during a search of his home. Police are examining them.
