A man has been arrested in Ronda for allegedly demanding money from men under threat of publishing footage showing them entering brothels.
The 36-year-old suspect allegedly used CCTV recordings to threaten clients, demanding substantial payments to keep the images private.
According to the Policia Nacional, he had recently been arrested in a separate investigation into a network sexually exploiting women at brothels in the Malaga town.
The blackmail investigation began after a man reported receiving demands for money from someone threatening to release images of him entering a so-called ‘puti club’.
Similar complaints then began to flood in.

Police say the suspect used surveillance footage recorded without the affected men’s consent to carry out extortion.
During the investigation, police found that names of supposed clients were being circulated on social media, including men who had not even visited the premises.
The accusations had caused considerable anxiety among residents in the surrounding area, police said.
Officers eventually located and arrested the suspect on suspicion of extortion and obstruction of justice.
The investigation continues.
