A man is in a critical condition after falling around 10 metres at Malaga Airport on Monday night.
The incident happened at approximately 11.30pm at a railing near the bus area outside arrivals.
Footage shared online shows a young man with a black rucksack holding onto the railing.
He appears visibly distressed while people appear to be encouraging him to return over the railing to safety.
The video stops before showing the moment the man plummeted to the ground below.
Officials said they did not have enough information to establish whether the fall was accidental or deliberate.
Paramedics from the 061 emergency service, firefighters, Policia Nacional and Guardia Civil officers were dispatched to the scene.
The man was taken by ambulance to Malaga’s Hospital Clinico Universitario Virgen de la Victoria, where he remains in a critical condition, emergency and healthcare sources told EFE.
His identity has not been revealed.
