Police have uncovered an illegal cannabis club operating from a Fuengirola apartment after neighbours complained of a strong marijuana smell.
The suspected operator was arrested over alleged drug offences following a Local Police investigation at a residential block on Calle Victor de la Serna.
According to Fuengirola Town Hall, the flat had been converted into a smokers’ association without an opening licence and was being used to sell drugs.
Officers observed people entering and leaving the property before a patrol attended in late October.
Following checks, police established that it was operating as a smokers’ club offering drugs.
They seized 600g of marijuana, 26 hashish joints, weighing equipment and €515 in cash.

The arrest follows a separate operation against a Fuengirola cannabis association in 2025, where its president was suspected of selling drugs to people who were not members.
In that case, officers seized marijuana, hashish, pre-rolled joints and cannabis extracts, along with €695.
Police said the earlier establishment had continued advertising on social media despite a previous intervention, with customer reviews highlighting its range of marijuana.
Investigators also observed visitors leaving after brief stops, having purchased drugs.
