Four people have been injured after a funfair ride snapped at the Feria de Abril in Sevilla.
The incident happened at around 8.20pm on Friday on the popular ‘Superman’ slingshot-style ride, one of the busiest attractions at the fairground.
According to early reports, one of the ride’s cables snapped while it was in operation, leaving two passengers trapped inside.
The capsule – or ‘ball’ – dropped and struck the ground, causing minor injuries to both occupants.
Despite the impact, their condition is not considered serious, although they were later taken to a medical centre for further checks.
Emergency services confirmed that a third person in the crowd also required assistance after being hit by the broken cable.
Two of the injured were treated at the scene, while others were transported for precautionary care.

Firefighters, along with Civil Protection teams, carried out the rescue operation and secured the area.
The attraction has been sealed off while authorities investigate what caused the failure.
Both Policia Local and Policia Nacional are involved, with officials already reviewing the ride’s documentation and safety certifications.
For now, the ride remains closed as investigators work to determine how the accident occurred.
