Wizz Air has announced a new direct route between Granada and London, restoring the city’s air link with the UK after a two-year break.
The twice-weekly service with London Luton will begin on October 27, operating on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
It marks the return of direct flights between Granada and the UK after Vueling discontinued its Gatwick route in 2025.
Tickets are already on sale, with one-way fares currently ranging from around €20 to €80.
The new route forms part of a major expansion by the Hungarian low-cost airline, which also announced new services including Malaga-London, Almeria-Bucharest, Asturias-London, Bilbao-Malaga and Bilbao-Wrocław.
Wizz Air also confirmed it will open new operating bases in Madrid and Valencia in November as it looks to expand its presence in Spain following Ryanair’s withdrawal from several routes.
The airline expects to carry 13 million passengers in Spain this year after increasing capacity by 34%, adding around 3.5 million seats.
It will also create around 160 jobs, with recruitment for new cabin crew already underway.
