This is the moment a young man was filmed rescuing an elderly driver from dangerous flooding in Sevilla on Wednesday.
Footage shared on X shows a man with white hair hanging out the window of his car in the centre of the Andalucia capital.
A young man can be seen wading through the flood water in the direction of the driver, before getting him to climb onto his back.
He is then filmed carrying the vulnerable man for many metres to safety.
Streets have become submerged in flood water across Sevilla following hours of extreme rainfall.
The dramatic scenes were shared on social media on Wednesday, as much of western Andalucia faced weather alerts for heavy rain, storms and even tornadoes.
The Universities of Sevilla, Pablo Olavide and Loyola suspended classes after at least 115mm per square metre fell by mid afternoon.
Streets were flooded throughout the city, and water even entered some Tussam buses.
The Macarena hospital experienced extreme flooding, while underground car parks in the city centre were filmed filling up with water.
State weather agency Aemet maintained an orange alert for heavy rain in the Sierra Norte and the Sevilla countryside until 9pm.
