Fashion giant Mango has confirmed a data breach affecting the personal contact details of customers involved in its marketing campaigns.
The leak occurred through one of the brand’s external service providers, company sources said.
According to Mango, the exposed data includes first names (no surnames), country, postcode, email addresses and phone numbers.
It insisted that financial details, ID documents and login credentials were not accessed.
‘There has been no impact on our core systems, and everything is operating as normal,’ the company said.
No credit card information, bank data, passwords, or national ID numbers were accessed, Mango stressed.
The company has launched internal security protocols and notified Spain’s Data Protection Agency and other relevant authorities.
As a precaution, Mango is urging customers to be on the lookout for suspicious emails or phone calls requesting unusual actions.
