A woman who was travelling to Sevilla for her daughter’s wedding has been confirmed among those killed in the Toledo rail disaster.
Ana Aviles was aboard one of the trains involved in Wednesday’s collision near Urda.
Her family received confirmation of her death on Saturday, reports El Correo de Andalucia.
Her daughter, Ana Roman, had spent days desperately appealing for information about her mother, who was coming to attend her wedding on Saturday.
She was among relatives who visited the Guardia Civil headquarters on Avenida de la Borbolla in Sevilla to provide DNA samples to help identify those caught up in the crash.
Speaking to a Telecinco programme during the search, she held out hope that someone might recognise her mother.

‘Perhaps someone can recognise her in the photograph and get in touch with me, please,’ she said.
Friends and relatives circulated Ana Aviles’s photograph on social media, while others searched hospitals for news.
‘Some friends of mine are going around hospitals too, but we haven’t been able to find out anything about her,’ her daughter told the programme.
Her aunt and uncle also travelled to Toledo to seek information.
Further identifications are continuing through DNA analysis.
