Investigators believe a violent confrontation between two men living in La Alcaidesa may have led to one death and another person being seriously injured on Saturday.
According to sources cited by Europa Sur, the two ‘foreign nationals’ had been living together for around three years in the exclusive residential development in San Roque.
Neighbours reportedly told investigators they were not aware of any previous disturbances involving the pair.
Emergency services were first alerted at around 4.30pm on Saturday, June 6, when a call was made to 112 Andalucia reporting that a man had fallen from a property within the urbanisation.
Guardia Civil officers, Local Police from San Roque and emergency medical teams were sent to the scene.
The injured man was later transferred to Hospital Universitario de La Linea de la Concepcion for treatment.
Shortly afterwards, emergency services received a second call reporting the discovery of a man’s body inside one of the properties. The victim was reportedly found in a large pool of blood.
Investigators are examining the possibility that the two men were involved in an extremely violent altercation inside the home before one died and the other suffered serious injuries after falling from a window.

Early reports suggest a machete and a hammer may have been used during the incident, although authorities have not yet confirmed further details as enquiries continue.
The Guardia Civil has launched an investigation to establish exactly what happened and reconstruct the events leading up to the discovery.
No official information has yet been released regarding the identities of those involved.
The incident has shocked residents of La Alcaidesa, a normally quiet residential community on the San Roque coastline, close to Sotogrande.
