A desperate search is underway for a missing chef who vanished while walking home after a night out in Andalucia.
Rodrigo Colchero Lopez, 30, has not been seen since the early hours of Saturday morning, following a night with friends in Huelva.
Rodrigo is described as slim, around 1.65 metres tall, and was last seen wearing a short-sleeved shirt with an orange floral pattern and skinny jeans.
With no confirmed sightings, authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward immediately.
‘Just three minutes from home’
His partner, Daniel, has described the growing anguish as days pass without answers.
The last time he saw Rodrigo in person was on Thursday, before travelling to Sevilla for work.
However, they remained in constant contact by phone into the early hours of Saturday.
‘He was out with a friend in Huelva,’ Daniel explained.
‘They said goodbye at around 4.40am. She took a taxi, and he walked home – it’s just three minutes from our flat. Since then, no one has heard from him.’
The alarm was raised later that day, prompting Daniel to cut short his work trip and return immediately.
New lead emerges
In the past few hours, a potential sighting has been passed to police after posters were put up across the city.
‘Someone called to say Rodrigo may have been at a house party all day Saturday,’ Daniel said.

‘We got that information between midnight and 1am, and we’ve already given the details to police so they can follow it up.’
‘This isn’t like him’
Those closest to Rodrigo say his disappearance is completely out of character.
‘He tells me everything. We speak constantly, no matter what we’re doing,’ Daniel said.
‘On Friday night he finished work as a chef and called me to say he was going for a drink. He called again at 3am, then at 4am to say he was heading home.
‘I told him not to call me when he arrived – just send a WhatsApp. That message never came.’
Concern deepened on Sunday, when Rodrigo failed to attend a family event in his hometown. He had bought train tickets for the morning but never used them.
His phone has been switched off since early Sunday afternoon.
Describing the situation as ‘desperate’, Daniel says the search continues around the clock: ‘We’re not stopping. Me, his family, we’re looking everywhere.’
