Tucked away at the top end of San Pedro de Alcantara, far from the glitz of Puerto Banús and Marbella’s front line, sits a place that locals clearly want to keep to themselves.
Da Gusto is consistently packed with Spaniards, quietly buzzing most days of the week and serves up a menu packed with variety (and in the good way).
The focus is on fresh, locally sourced ingredients, done properly and without the inflated prices you’d expect elsewhere on the Costa del Sol.
Seafood that does the talking
The seafood offering is where Da Gusto really comes into its own.
A plate of fresh prawns arrives perfectly presented, sweet and clean in flavour.
The oysters, served chilled over ice, are equally impressive, pairing effortlessly with a cold drink on the terrace.
Then there are the boquerones, delicately laid out and soaked in good olive oil, finished with a sprinkle of chives. Simple, classic, and exactly how they should be.

The must-try: Pan Bao
One of the standouts is the Pan Bao.
Soft, pillowy buns packed with slow-cooked beef topped with fresh garnishes, they strike that perfect balance between sweet and savoury.
They’re listed on the fun ‘must try’ section of the menu, and the label is fully justified.
Big variety, no weak links
What makes Da Gusto stand out is its range.
You can jump from seafood to Asian-inspired bites like gyozas, to classic tapas without feeling like the menu is trying too hard.
Everything feels considered, and more importantly, it delivers.
Proper Marbella value
In a town where prices can spiral quickly, Da Gusto is refreshingly grounded.
It’s good value for Marbella, especially given the quality on the plate and the consistency coming out of the kitchen.
Da Gusto is therefore definitely a local gem and is Spanish Eye approved.
