Budget supermarket chain Mercadona is making waves across Spain with a new beauty product that’s gone viral within days of hitting the shelves.
The Valencia-based company has launched a wrinkle-correcting serum under its Deliplus brand, marketed as delivering a ‘botox-like’ effect, without the needles or salon visits.
Shaped like a syringe (but with no needle), the ‘Botox Like Serum’ promises to smooth out crow’s feet, frown lines and forehead wrinkles with visible tightening and firming.
The label describes it as a wrinkle filler suitable for all skin types and ideal for use on the forehead, glabella (between the brows), and eye area.
The star ingredient is a hexapeptide that mimics the effects of botulinum toxin, the active compound in botox, to produce a lifting sensation on application.
The instructions are simple: Remove the syringe cap, twist the top to the ‘OPEN’ position, press the base to release the desired amount and apply directly to problem areas.
It’s being hailed as a game-changer for those seeking smoother skin without invasive treatments, and at just €6 per unit, it’s become a hot topic online, especially among skincare forums and beauty bloggers.
So what’s in it?
Key ingredients include:
- Hexapeptide-8 (botox-mimicking)
- Hyaluronic acid (hydrating)
- Glycerin (moisturising)
- Hydrolysed soy flour (firming)
It also contains fragrance and common preservatives like phenoxyethanol and ethylhexylglycerin.
