A Sevillano father has been confirmed among the dead in the Toledo rail disaster.
Jose Angel San Emeterio, known as Pepe, was identified late on Friday night after his relatives spent more than two days searching for him.
The 54-year-old had been travelling with his dog, Trece, who was discovered alive within hours of the collision.
Pepe lived in Madrid but frequently returned to Andalucia. He was a member of Sevilla’s El Museo religious brotherhood, which shared an appeal to help locate him.
He leaves a teenage daughter.

His siblings searched for him from the first day. Ana went to Santa Justa station in Sevilla, while Manuel and Esther travelled to Toledo seeking information.
Speaking on Friday morning, before receiving confirmation of his death, Esther described the family’s anguish.
‘They have been days of great sadness, uncertainty, very long hours,’ she said.
