This is the moment a man accused of attempting to kill dogs was arrested in Sevilla.
It comes after rat poison and sausages containing screws and needles were repeatedly found in a dog park in Sevilla Este.
Police believe the suspect hurled the products from a window at his home.
The investigation began in early June, when park users reported finding the poison and sabotaged sausages, alongside other suspicious food.
Several dogs ate some of the products and needed emergency veterinary treatment.
Local Police ordered the temporary closure of both the dog park and a nearby children’s play area while the site was cleaned.
However, further potentially dangerous products were discovered after the park reopened.
Policia Nacional and local police coordinated their investigation, with information from neighbours and regular park users helping officers identify the suspect.
Police said their surveillance revealed how the products were being thrown from a nearby home.
The suspect was arrested on suspicion of three animal cruelty offences and three attempted animal cruelty offences.
Police have not disclosed the suspect’s identity or provided further details about the condition of the affected dogs.
