A puppy found tied to a bench in Marbella has found a new family following an appeal on social media.
The dog was discovered in a park beside the town’s courts, according to posts shared by local Instagram account Marbellasequeja
Police were called to check for a microchip, but none was found, leaving those helping him unable to trace an owner.
‘We don’t know what happened or how long he had been there, but we couldn’t leave him abandoned,’ the initial appeal said.
A volunteer provided temporary care while a longer-term home was sought.
In a follow-up post, the account confirmed that the puppy had found a family and had a veterinary appointment arranged for vaccinations, a microchip and an examination of an injured leg.
‘I hope whoever left him tied to a bench in the park sees that he will now have the love and care he deserves,’ the update said.

‘Abandoning an animal like this is unforgivable.’
Those helping believe he could be a husky–mastiff cross, although his breed has not been confirmed.
The account thanked the woman who found him, veterinary clinic Clinica La Campana and another resident for helping arrange his care.
‘Together we have managed to give this little dog the life he deserves,’ it added.
