A number of AI networks appear to have suffered a worldwide outage on Thursday.
Users across the globe complained of being unable to access services including ChatGPT, Grok and Claude.
Anthropic, the company behind Claude, said in a statement: ‘We are investigating elevated errors on requests to Claude Mythos 5.1, Claude Fable 5.1, and Claude Opus 5.
‘We will provide an update as soon as possible.’
The outage affected OpenAI’s ChatGPT on the web, mobile app and desktop. Services have since been restored.
SpaceXAI has confirmed that Grok suffered a temporary service issue.
It comes as OpenAI is rumoured to be about to reveal the launch of Astra, it’s next big AI language-learning model.
