Human remains have been found dumped beside a road in Alhaurin de la Torre.

The grim discovery was made on Tuesday morning on a track close to the town’s quarry area, in Pinos de Alhaurin.

Investigators have cordoned off the area and begun inquiries to establish the identity of the deceased, as well as the cause and circumstances of their death.

The remains will undergo forensic examination to determine who the victim was and how they came to be at the location.

No further details have been released while the investigation continues.
