An undercover police operation in Mijas has ended with the arrest of an alleged drug dealer after officers caught him carrying out a street sale.
The incident happened on the night of Friday, May 1, on Calle San Bartolome, where plain clothes officers were monitoring the Las Lagunas area.
According to the Policia Local, officers saw a man hand over a small white package to the rider of an electric scooter in exchange for cash.
Both suspects reportedly tried to flee after noticing the presence of police, but the alleged dealer was eventually caught following a chase through nearby streets.
During a search, officers allegedly found 11 small bags of cocaine weighing around eight grams in total, along with another package containing six grams of MDMA, commonly known as ecstasy.

Police also seized cash believed to be linked to the suspected drug sales.
The man was arrested on suspicion of committing an offence against public health and was later transferred to Guardia Civil custody before being brought before a judge.
