A Brit has warned anyone with a ‘nice car’ to check it for GPS trackers after he was allegedly targeted outside a gym in Marbella.
The victim shared a video online that showed how a device was allegedly placed under the bonnet of his grey Ferrari.
He claims thieves are placing trackers on cars whose owners are wearing expensive watches or jewellery.
This allows them to follow them and find the opportune moment to rob them of their valuable items.
Commenting on the Instagram post, on Brit said: ‘I can confirm this happened twice and lucky for me I always check my car when I leave it there.
‘They first fitted one on Monday and then Wednesday.’
The warning comes just as the summer season gets underway, with scores of wealthy visitors flocking to Marbella.

Visitors have already been warned not to wear expensive watches out in public, as so-called ‘Rolex gangs’ are already operating.
This week, a man was allegedly robbed of his Rolex at gunpoint while riding a golf buggy in Marbella’s Nueva Andalucia.
