A British tourist who vanished from Benidorm has been found following a four-day search.

Tim Wager, 39, had sparked concern among his family after failing to catch his flight home from Alicante-Elche airport on Tuesday.

His phone showed he had been at the airport at around 9pm, before the last ping showed it heading away from the travel hub and dying 20 minutes later.

Tim, who lives in Harlow, Essex, was due to fly back to London.

An online appeal was launched by his sisters after they confirmed he did not board his flight.

However, sibling Lianne Wager told the Spanish Eye on Saturday: ‘Tim is now home thanks to one kind man at Alicante airport on Friday, thanks for all your help.’
