A Scottish tourist who vanished during a rugby lads’ trip to Spain has been found after a two-day search.

Gregor Thomson, 21, was visiting Madrid with his teammates and girlfriend when he disappeared on Friday.

His mother Kirsty Thomson told the Spanish Eye today: ‘Happy to inform you that Gregor has now been found, thank you so much for your help.’

Family members did not reveal where Gregor had been found or any more information.

An missing persons appeal by Gregor’s friend Liv Anderson had said: ‘He is part of a rugby team from Scotland and was with his teammates at the bar.

‘They all left together however he returned to the bar on his own to retrieve something he had left. He has not been seen since then.

Found: Gregor Thomson, 21, vanished from Madrid last week

‘His teammates and captain had been at the police station yesterday (Sat 26th), and the police officially named him as a missing person last night.

‘His phone is dead (most likely) and we don’t know if he has ID on him or knows exactly where he is, as it was their first day and he does not know Madrid.

‘If anyone has seen him or has any information please reach out immediately. Please share this if you can, to help spread the word. Call 112 for police.’
