He’s allegedly one of Colombia’s most ruthless narcos and is accused of a brutal triple murder in Spain.
And despite his ‘polite and respectful’ manner in prison, so powerful is his feared influence that authorities have been forced to move him from Madrid to Malaga, where he is being held in isolation.
Known by the alias ‘La Negra Dominga’, the 39-year-old is accused of masterminding the killing of a rival and his two bodyguards in El Saler, Valencia, in February 2024.
He has denied all the allegations, insisting he is simply a businessman that has been wrongly identified as the notorious drug trafficker.
Moved from Madrid over security fears
According to prison sources, the suspected cartel figure was transferred this week to Archidona for security reasons.
Officials were concerned that the large number of inmates linked to Latin American criminal gangs in Madrid prisons could allow him to strengthen his network or issue instructions from inside jail.
Sources told local media that the move was intended to prevent him from contacting alleged associates.
‘They feared he could get in touch with his own henchmen and strengthen his position,’ one source said.
‘He’s a major drug trafficker and could have many people willing to do whatever he wanted.’
Accused of ordering revenge killings
The Guardia Civil believes the triple murder in Valencia was an act of revenge linked to the killing of the suspect’s nephew and godson during a birthday celebration in Colombia in 2022.
Investigators allege he financed and organised a campaign against a rival criminal clan, eventually tracking one of its alleged leaders to Spain before ordering the fatal attack.
According to Colombian authorities, the suspect is believed to have led the Los Piloneros gang and maintained links with the feared Los Costeños criminal organisation.
Held under maximum surveillance
The alleged trafficker is currently being held in Archidona’s isolation unit under the FIES 5 regime, reserved for inmates considered particularly dangerous, including suspected drug kingpins, terrorists and members of organised crime groups.
Despite his high-risk classification, prison sources say he has not caused any major disciplinary problems since entering custody and is generally described as ‘polite and respectful’.
His prison record reportedly contains only one disciplinary sanction for breaking internal rules and one commendation.
Claims he is the victim of a police conspiracy
Appearing before a judge by video link in November 2025, the suspect denied any involvement in the Valencia murders.
He also denied being the man known as ‘La Negra Dominga’, claiming the nickname had been falsely attributed to him through social media.
He insisted he is a legitimate businessman and claimed he was the victim of a police conspiracy, maintaining that he has never committed any of the crimes he is accused of in either Spain or Colombia.
The investigation into the triple murder remains ongoing, and no verdict has been reached. Under Spanish law, he is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
