Travellers on the Costa del Sol can now fly directly to Malta thanks to a new route by KM Malta Airlines.
The airline is operating a twice-weekly service between Malaga Airport and Malta as part of its expanded summer 2026 schedule.
Flights operate every Wednesday and Sunday, connecting Malaga-Costa del Sol Airport with Malta International Airport.
The carrier said the new route improves Malta’s accessibility from southern Spain while creating new opportunities for tourism between the two Mediterranean destinations.
Malta has become an increasingly popular destination for Spanish travellers thanks to its historic cities, crystal-clear waters and year-round warm climate, while the route is also expected to attract more Maltese visitors to the Costa del Sol.
The new Malaga connection forms part of KM Malta Airlines’ wider summer expansion programme, which includes additional routes and frequencies across Europe and the Mediterranean.
The addition adds another international destination to Malaga’s rapidly growing network.
